Infants - 1 Year Old

Infants grow and learn every day.  Little Learners provides a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where infants can explore and make new discoveries.
Young children learn through play, we have designed to provide infants with the skills that serve as building blocks for a lifetime of learning.
We appreciate you trusting us with your infant's care and education, and we're committed to making this first transition away from home easy and natural for you and your child.
In addition to caring for your infant, everything we do is designed for learning.

Communicating With Others

We talk with your child; communicate verbally and through non-verbal gestures; tell stories and sing songs to model conversational skills; and use picture books to build association between sounds, objects and words.

Building Brain Power
We help your child explore the concepts of cause-and-effect, trial-and-error, and object permanence through play; provide a variety of materials of different colors, sizes, textures, and shapes; and encourage the use of all five senses to discover the world.

Making New Friends
We respond to your baby with sensitivity and attention; use words, facial expressions, and eye contact to communicate; and use family photos to promote self-awareness and provide continuity with your child's home.

Growing a Healthy Body
We support your baby as he or she rolls from side-to-side and learns to crawl, stand, and walk; support the development of motor skills with blocks and shape boards; and meet your child's individual needs for rest and nutrition.

Nurturing Creativity
We provide paint, crayons, and other tools that promote artistic exploration and creativity; support imaginative play with photo cards and puppets; and encourage self-expression through movement and music.

2-3 Years Old

At this age, children make new discoveries daily. And as two-year-olds begin to express their independence, our program introduces them to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring.
Our  approach engages young minds with the early learning fundamentals they'll need as they continue on
, with a rich blend of music, art, and dramatic play.

 Communicating With Others
We stimulate vocabulary development by prompting imitation and repetition of words and sentences; build alphabet recognition through play with letters and writing centers; and strengthen conversation skills with group sharing and reading experiences.

Building Brain Power
We encourage investigation and problem solving; provide opportunities to practice sorting, matching and categorizing; and use blocks and math cards to teach counting, number identification, and patterning.

Making New Friends
We support cooperative play; use whole- and small-group activities to model sharing, communication, and cooperation; and demonstrate how to recognize others' feelings and respond appropriately.

Growing a Healthy Body
We strengthen large-motor skills with riding equipment, balls, and movement activities; improve fine-motor and eye-hand coordination through pouring, stringing, and cutting activities; develop coordination using beanbags, hula hoops, and balance beams; and help children learn to serve themselves at meal times.

Nurturing Creativity
We support pretend play and role-playing with props and costumes; encourage creative expression through age-appropriate art materials; and stimulate imagination through storytelling and block-building.

4 year - Transitional Kindergarten

Pre-kindergarten children are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime — kindergarten!  We are  designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills.

With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and large-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump into
kindergarten.

Everything we do is designed for pre-kindergarten learning.

Communicating With Others
We use daily journal activities to practice writing skills; help your child's early reading skills by connecting sounds to letters through picture and word collages; teach basic sight words in fun and engaging ways; and develop phonemic awareness through literacy-based games, books, and puzzles.

Building Brain Power
We encourage the use of the senses to explore different materials; create opportunities to ask and answer open-ended questions; experiment with spatial relationships; and promote an understanding of sequencing such as first, next, and last.

Making New Friends
We use character-building activities to help identify emotions; have group discussions to practice sharing ideas, thoughts, and feelings; and provide opportunities to cooperate, negotiate, problem-solve, and make independent choices.

Growing a Healthy Body
We help to refine fine-motor skills through the use of scissors, stencils, lacing cards, and drawing tools; promote large-motor development with obstacle courses, balancing activities, and bikes; and encourage awareness of physical well-being and healthy eating habits.

Nurturing Creativity
We provide numerous opportunities for your child to represent ideas through drawing and writing stories; invent unique dance moves; use props to dramatize stories; and express independent thinking and expression through art and music.
